Marketing & Social Media Assistant

Start Date: June 1, 2019 (flexible)
Compensation: $13/hour
Reports to: Social Media Manager
Location: 316 Moores River Drive, Lansing, MI 48910
Schedule: 10-15 hours per week, flexible within 8am-5pm Monday – Friday work week.


Elevate Marketing Co. is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Assistant to join its team. In this position, this individual will work directly with the Social Media Manager in creating and implementing social media strategies for Elevate Marketing Co.’s clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of client marketing campaigns

  • Draft social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter

  • Research monthly blog and social media topics and contribute in editing and writing blogs

  • Create and design graphics for social media and blog activities

  • Utilize marketing scheduling tools such as ContentCal and Hootsuite

  • Run monthly analytic reports for each client account


  • Must have knowledge of social media strategies for business use

  • Must have strong copywriting skills

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills

  • Must be interested in furthering growth in social media and marketing

  • Preferred to be enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant college program

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Junior or senior college status (preferred) pursuing a degree in Marketing or a relevant program

  • Preferred experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365
