Our Proven Process: How it Works and How Everyone Benefits

Right-brained vs. left-brained, creative vs. analytical, imagination vs. realistic. As marketers, we pride ourselves on being dynamic in both qualities. Of course, each person can lean one way or another, but when it comes to marketing, we must possess both qualities to do our jobs effectively. The creative process can be scattered, but an analytical framework needs to be in place to set expectations and effectively work as a team, on both client and internal tasks.

The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) provides a framework for optimizing and running businesses. One of the directly client-facing elements of EOS is the Proven Process. The Proven Process is the mapped-out steps that take place during onboarding and execution that results in success.

How it Works

Elevate’s Proven Process is as follows:

  1. Discovery Call

  2. Strategy Session

  3. Proposal Review

  4. Onboarding: Systems Audit & Health Check, Fix System Errors, and Setup & Content Planning

  5. Monthly Services Beginning

  6. End-of-Month Reporting

One reason we hold a strategy session before our proposal creation and review is that we need to know more details about our client’s business and their needs before we recommend a plan and scope of work. In the past, we may have taken a free 30-minute discovery call and turned around a proposal in the same day. However, a short discovery call can’t adequately support an in-depth look at the company, culture, business goals, marketing needs, and details about the tasks they need to delegate.

Holding a strategy session first allows us to prepare a proposal, timeline, and roadmap to kickstart a great relationship on a solid foundation for both parties.

Our Proven Process was created naturally over the last several years as we continued to find ways to make our client experience better and easier for our team and our clients. We also learned that when we skipped certain steps, either intentionally or unintentionally, we hit more roadblocks. So, while creating a defined process was a bit by trial and error, it was most certainly always top of mind.

Why it Works

It’s important that we go through this process and not skip steps because it sets our team and our clients up for long-term success. And by long-term success, we mean LONG term success. By skipping over the strategy session and systems health check report, it would be like asking a doctor to perform surgery without knowing where the ailments and injuries lie. No one wants to walk into a situation blindly and be held accountable to a standard you cannot meet because of the condition the landscape is in.

For our clients running Google Ads, sure we could hop into an existing Google Ad Manager and take on the account in the condition it’s in. However, if we fail to ensure the account is firing on all cylinders, it might not be triggering all the necessary information and communicating to Google Search Console, Analytics, and Tag Manager. Most companies don’t have these systems talking to one another because Google is a BEAST to set up! We get it! It’s a headache! But if you’re going to keep Google happy (which we like to do) then it’s important that your systems are set up and structured correctly.

The same goes for Meta Business Manager. The setup can be complicated and overwhelming! Unless you live and breathe in this world, it can be very foreign. We often refer to the Google and Meta-verse as getting lost in Ikea and having to go to the bathroom. You have no idea how you got to the Kitchen section, and you have not a clue how to get out to the main entrance. Our goal is to make sure that our client’s systems are in working order so that when our team begins to run ads, the ads have the best chance to be successful and provide us with the data needed.

Our proven process isn’t designed to drag out the “go-live” date. It’s designed to make sure we cross our t’s and dot our I's.

The Road Ahead

EVERYONE benefits from a Proven Process! And that’s one of the best parts about it! Our clients get a complete strategy session and systems health check report. It allows for clear expectations for working together and it sets the tone for our relationship. Our team is able to follow this roadmap and know what the process is for every single new client that comes to us. It ensures that we are all rowing in the same direction!

Clarity is key, and we believe our Proven Process proves that.
